The term Flow Yoga or Vinyasa refers to the alignment of movement and breath, a method which turns static postures into a dynamic flow. The length of one inhale or one exhale dictates the length of time spent transitioning between poses (asanas). Asanas are then held for a number of breaths. In effect, attention is placed on the breath and the journey between the asanas rather than solely on achieving perfect body alignment in the pose. We offer classes for all levels of practice. The studio temperature ranges between 83-90 degrees depending on the class. The warm temperature promotes flexibility, increased circulation, and detoxification by way of sweat. The room is spaceous creating a welcoming enviroment in which to safely benefit from your practice.
In this guided Vinyasa practice, the instructor leads you the entire class through sequences of intermediate to advanced postures that are linked to the rhythm of the breath. The sequence of postures is repeated throughout the practice to connect mind, breath, and movement. Prior practice experience is recommended for this class. The temperature in this class reaches 90 degrees. Be prepared to sweat, let loose, and enjoy yourself!
